About
Tampa Boudoir Photography
We have a purpose, and a
mission behind Tampa Boudoir Photography. There is a reason for our
existence, and understanding the motivation behind that reason will
tell you more about our values, professional character, ethics, and
integrity than any typical canned copy telling you what we want you
yo believe about us.
We are going to lay it all out and tell you how it is.
Tampa Boudoir Photography was created by a group of established, experienced
professional photographers who were simply sick and tired of all of
the questionable offers out there for boudoir photography and glamour
photography services. As true professional photographers who are very
serious about what we do and are working at the top of our photography
markets, we were INSULTED by the swarms of aspiring and shady “photographers”
posing as experienced professionals and trying to do photography work
which did not portray their customers in the best light. Boudoir photography
is about making the models sexy in a dignified, respectable manner,
not as an effort to make them look sleazy and to rip them off. Boudoir
photography is something which you should be proud of, and not something
which will harm your reputation and come back to undermine your professional
credibility. If your boudoir photographs are something which you feel
to be scandalous or something which you are ashamed of, the photographer
did it wrong. Additionally, you will have to come to terms with the
fact that you are not the only one who has your pictures.
Consider the true story of a self-proclaimed “famous fashion”
photographer a few years back who took tacky, degrading, provocative
pictures of several models and later turned around and sold pictures
to phone sex 900 advertisers and porn marketers without the knowledge
or the consent of the models! You really do have to check out your photographer
and their references before doing glamour or boudoir work as the subject
in the photographs, and the photographer must earn your trust and give
you fair terms in writing. Indeed, boudoir photography work, because
of the potential risks involved, require the most ethical professionals,
and the work demands attention to detail and respect. This is what beginners
or aspiring photographers have NO BUSINESS starting out doing boudoir,
glamour, swimsuit modeling, and “sexy” photography services.
Any photography service which has the potential to put models in a suggestive
or degrading context requires ethical professionals with a proven, VERIFIABLE
track record. Any photographs which can be easily taken out of their
original context and could make the model look bad require ethical professionals.
In the aforementioned case of the sleazy glamour photographer who sold
pictures of models to pornographers, some of these pictures were simply
swimsuit modeling photographs with the models in suggestive poses, and
these pictures were easily taken out of their original context and used
to market degrading services.
NEVER, EVER trust some guy with a camera who went to the store and bought
a camera so that they could meet pretty girls and get them to take off
their clothes. NEVER, EVER trust some sleazy guy who tells girls that
he is a photographer with the intention of having sex with them. NEVER,
EVER trust a boudoir photographer who cannot show a range fo different
professional-level photography work and who is not smart enough to market
incompatible and inappropriate photography service genres separately
( if you are a so-called photographer and you do not understand what
we are talking about here, do all of us, and yourself, a favor. Sell
your camera and try to learn another career. If you are intentionally
being sleazy and have unprofessional motives, take it to the next level.
Smash your camera, or throw it in a lake, and stroll in front of Interstate
traffic - you insult the genuine professionals and do not have our respect
or the respect of anyone else. If you persist with trying to do whatever
it is you think you are doing, the real professional will take your
market away from you and put you out of business. Why prolong the inevitable?).
Ok, we are sure that you know where we are coming from by now, and we
have to move on to other sections of the Tampa Boudoir Photography web
site. We will close this section with the following closing statement
for now.
Going back to the swarm of sleazy boudoir photography offers, we were
originally just annoyed and tolerated the efforts of aspiring photographers
with questionable photography services offers. It was when some of these
character accused some of us of unethical business practices, “pushy”
upsell tactics, “managing” models (which we do not do),
ripping people off (again, which we do not do), and then trying to compete
in other photography markets which were not compatible with boudoir
photography (sexy boudoir pictures and actor headshots? Those don’t
go together at all! Do you really know what you are doing, or just want
to fake it until you make it at the expense of those who are tricked
into booking your pathetic services?), that we had had enough. Indeed,
there is a saying the people will accuse others of doing what they themselves
are guilty of, and it is true. They do!
We were insulted, and began to work toward cornering, boxing, and gift-wrapping
the Tampa boudoir photography market. It needed a professional, ethical
alternative. This is the reason for the Tampa Boudoir Photography web
site.
If the unprofessional, insecure majority had trouble competing with
genuine professional photographers before, they certainly have big trouble
now. Don’t blame us, however. We are taking your market from you,
but you really did it to yourself, and you will continue to do so.
We are your new nightmare.
